The day after my last post Dad had a mild stroke that led to a hospitalization, rehab, and soon to his new or previous home. So grateful to God for His grace to my dad during this time, and to us as well. Dad is doing very well, all things considered:) I am hoping now to start up again, this time just doing today's Joy dare, too far behind to catch up now!

Today's gifts...

January 3 - thank You, God, for:
13) sister asking sister if they were going to a Godly conference
14) friend telling her husband 'love you, babe'
15) 'let me do those dishes:)'
January 10 - thank You, God, for:
16) yogurt!
17) medjool dates
18) good time out with a friend
Now, on to make date nut bread and time with J:)

the January joy dare...
Starting today, I hope to post (nearly) every day this year:)
My desire is to participate this year in the Joy Dare from Ann Voskamp's blog...love this idea, to stir up thankfulness by thinking of 3 things to be grateful for each day...so today I am doing today's and last Sundays, because I just learned about this the last couple of days!
Jan 1 - thank you God for:
1) my sense of direction
2) " " " humor
3) my blue eyes
Jan 8 - thank you God for:
4) the light in my husband's eyes when he told me he wanted us to renew our vows for our 25th anniversary next month:)
5) my hair looked better today than I expected...in the mirror
6) our 3 shadows long ahead while walking the track tonight
