Some things I am thankful for...

This weekend, I spent more time outside, at Tumble weed park and the Desert Botanical Garden. God gave me several gifts:

- seeing a little boy play in a beautiful dust devil, that was mostly leaves, he ran, and rejoiced and delighted in it!
- warm sun, cool air at the park and the DBG
- a roadrunner and lots of quail where we ate lunch
- forgiveness and grace from s and h
- j listening to my heart

the best laid plans...

well...had hoped to keep up! Dad has done fairly well until the last couple of weeks, and he is now being checked to see if he has any infection, etc. SO grateful to God for many opportunities to share the Gospel with him.

God is Gracious

The day after my last post Dad had a mild stroke that led to a hospitalization, rehab, and soon to his new or previous home. So grateful to God for His grace to my dad during this time, and to us as well. Dad is doing very well, all things considered:) I am hoping now to start up again, this time just doing today's Joy dare, too far behind to catch up now!

the January joy dare...

Starting today, I hope to post (nearly) every day this year:)

My desire is to participate this year in the Joy Dare from Ann Voskamp's blog...love this idea, to stir up thankfulness by thinking of 3 things to be grateful for each day...so today I am doing today's and last Sundays, because I just learned about this the last couple of days!

4) the light in my husband's eyes when he told me he wanted us to renew our vows for our 25th anniversary next month:)
